Zephyr Approvals is a privately owned and fast-growing certification firm dedicated to simplifying the building approval process across NSW. We pride ourselves on being practical, professional and personable and we’re now looking for a motivated and detail-driven Building Surveyor – Restricted (Class 1 & 10) or Registered Building Inspector to join our expanding team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assess applications for Complying Development Certificates and Construction Certificates across residential projects (Class 1 & 10).

Carry out critical stage inspections on-site and deliver clear, concise reports.

Operate as the Certifying Authority in line with your registration and Zephyr’s quality standards.

Interpret architectural and engineering plans in accordance with the NCC, BCA and planning instruments.

Liaise with homeowners, builders, architects and consultants to ensure timely and compliant outcomes.

Maintain accurate digital records and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Accreditation under the NSW Fair Trading Accreditation Scheme (as a Registered Building Surveyor – Restricted (Class 1 & 10) or Registered Building Inspector).

Strong understanding of the National Construction Code, Building Code of Australia (BCA), Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and applicable SEPPs.

Sound judgement on-site with an ability to problem-solve and ensure compliance.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident in dealing with clients and consultants.

Current driver’s license and willingness to travel across the Greater Sydney area.

A team player who values professionalism, precision and accountability.
