Industrial Designer – ADesignStudio (Sydney, In-Studio)

ADesignStudio is looking for a skilled and creative Industrial Designer to join our collaborative team in Sydney. This in-studio role is perfect for a designer with experience in lighting or related fields such as furniture, electronics, or product design. We're after someone who’s hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about transforming ideas into beautifully crafted, high-quality objects—and who’s just as comfortable contributing to design development as they are jumping in to help with prototyping, assembly, and production.

What You’ll Do

Support the development and delivery of new product collections

Create and manage technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation

Work closely with the director and workshop team to manage production and take an active role in assembling orders.

Collaborate directly with manufacturers to ensure design integrity through production

Translate ideas into compelling sketches, renderings, mock-ups, and prototypes

Take ownership of design-related queries and ensure timely resolution

About You

Minimum 3 years’ experience in product or industrial design

Advanced CAD skills in Rhino and V-Ray (and or SolidWorks)

Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

Excellent visual and verbal communication skills

Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, materials, tolerances, and finishing

Familiarity with electronics and LED technologies (drivers, dimming, etc.)

Experience in product rendering and photorealistic visualizations

Hands-on workshop experience

Must reside in Sydney with full working rights (this is an in-studio position)
