COMPANY

This international business has their head office & showroom located in the inner suburbs close to the CBD and has been operating around the world for over 30 years. They represent a number of architecturally-designed decorative products and custom fixtures and is known for their high-end brands that are generally the first choice for architects, designers, and consultants when it comes to interior design projects.

POSITION

A Design Consultant position has now become available due to company growth.

The core of this role would be to produce lighting plans and designs bespoke for each clients needs and brief according to processes which will be trained on the job, communicate directly with clients on their lighting needs, as well as play a pivotal Coordinator-type role throughout the project lifecycle, which includes Site Visits.

The lighting plans produced include:

• Location of all lights and the type and model of light specified and populated throughout
• Grouping of which lights would be on the same switching circuit
• Lighting design via a layered lighting approach
• The produced plan package provided to the clients include The Lighting Plan, Concept Presentation, Product Specification section, Quotation and any specific recommended instructions for the electrical installers
• The main software being used would be REVIT for the design and planning, and Excel for the Quotation

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To be considered for this position it is vital that you have the below experience:

• Lighting Design experience from either Supplier or Designer/Lighting Consultant background
• An experienced Interior Designer in the Architectural Industry would also be considered
• A Lighting Designer from a Commercial Lighting background would also be considered
• Demonstrated experience & skill with Revit + Excel is a MUST
• Experience & ability within On-Site Client Visits is a MUST
• A clear passion for the Design Industry & appreciation for artistically designed and produced products
• Ability to work engage key stakeholders and clients in a professional manner
• High presentation, attention to detail, well-spoken and clear design skills
