Our client, a large Queensland Government Department, are currently seeking a CMS Technical Change Lead to help migrate qld.gov.au to Squiz DXP, and implement the new Queensland Government Design System.
The role
This department provides digitally enabled whole-of-government services to the Queensland public through multiple channels including phone, counter and online. This stream brings together technology, development, products, design, engagement, and operations to deliver simpler connected services.

As the CMS Technical Change Lead, you will:
- Manage, and enhance the qld.gov.au instance of Squiz to the new Squiz DXP, and guide the implementation of the Queensland Government Design System to deliver a seamless and positive customer experience.
- Gather business and customer requirements, develop customer propositions, and create detailed user requirement documents.
- Lead the development and implementation of online enhancement projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
- Build strong relationships with industry providers to stay ahead of digital trends and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with the customer insight team to define and monitor performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement of the platform.
- Influence and negotiate with stakeholders to gain agreement on project deliverables and drive successful outcomes.
- Foster a learning culture by mentoring staff and promoting best practices in project delivery.
- Represent Digital Customer's professional and innovative culture across government and industry networks.
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- A strong understanding of digital channels and experience leading change in large, complex organisations.
- Experience working with Squiz Matrix CMS and / or Squiz DXP
- High-level business acumen and the ability to develop and execute customer research strategies.
- Proven experience in defining customer and brand propositions, developing user requirement documents, and managing digital projects.
- Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and communication skills to engage with stakeholders of varying technical expertise.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships with staff, stakeholders, and networks.
- A commitment to fostering a positive team culture and supporting others to achieve organisational outcomes.
