Be Part of South Australia's Justice System
Are you looking for a meaningful administrative role where your skills directly contribute to the community? We're recruiting Court Officers for our Adelaide metropolitan locations (CBD, Elizabeth, Port Adelaide, Christies Beach), with opportunities available now and throughout the year.
Why Join Us?
By joining the Courts Administration Authority, you'll play a vital role in South Australia's justice system. Your work will directly support fair and accessible justice services for all community members. You'll be part of an organisation that values integrity, public service, and making a positive difference in people's lives during important legal proceedings.
Our workplace culture embraces collaboration and mutual support. You'll work alongside friendly, professional colleagues in an environment where teamwork is essential and individual contributions are valued. We pride ourselves on maintaining a respectful, inclusive atmosphere where staff members support each other through the sometimes challenging nature of court-related work.
We're seeking detail-oriented individuals with strong administrative capabilities to join our supportive team. This role offers an excellent foundation for those interested in the legal system or court administration.
Location Benefits
- CBD: Prime location adjacent to the vibrant Central Market, outstanding public transport accessibility, surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and retail shopping precincts
- Suburban (Elizabeth, Port Adelaide, Christies Beach): Convenient suburban locations closer to home for many residents, free onsite and nearby parking facilities, accessible public transport options
Please note: We have courthouses across metropolitan and regional South Australia. We encourage applications from candidates interested in any location. For a full list of court locations, please visit our website: Court Locations. In your cover letter, please clearly specify your preferred location(s), whether metropolitan or regional.
A Day in the Life
As a Court Officer, your day typically begins with greeting colleagues before the courthouse opens to the public. You'll assist customers both at the counter and over the phone, supporting them with document lodgements and processing online submissions. Much of your work involves computer-based tasks - managing court cases in our systems, handling email correspondence, and maintaining accurate records. You may help parties with signing legal paperwork and assist the court by ensuring everything runs smoothly. Once the courthouse is closed for the day, you'll complete any final administrative tasks before heading home.
