Your role
As a Personnel Officer in the Air Force, you’ll be responsible for personnel, from both a capability and welfare perspective. You’ll deliver workforce management expertise, as well as timely and necessary information to support decision making, and assistance through day-to-day function support.
Your duties may include:
Staff Officer Personnel (SOPERS) - human resource and information management, budgeting, reporting and governance tasks
Personnel Management - raising, training and sustaining workforce numbers and preparedness
Personnel Operations - identifying, preparing and supporting personnel to deploy the right people on operations
Communication Effects - planning and executing internal and external communication strategies
Workforce Development and Review - designing and implementing workforce development across all levels of command
Resource and Knowledge Management - managing information resources including collection, organisation and relay of information to the workforce
Deployments - giving specialist advice to commanders and undertaking activities in planning, humanitarian assistance and public information activities.
As an Air Force Officer, you’ll also be trained to become an inspirational leader and mentor, equipped with highly sought-after management skills.

Upon completion of initial military and employment training, you will enjoy a salary package starting from $93,973.
Location
Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia, such as RAAF Base Amberley, Williamtown, or Edinburgh.
