Fully Qualified Certificate 3 Automotive Mechanic. This position requires a minimum of Three years experience

Work Days: Weekdays & Saturday Mornings

Start / Finish Times: 8am - 5pm

You must have experience in the following.

Identify problems, determine relationship between cause and effect, and examine information from different sources to determine best course of action

Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes and ensure compliance with pollution regulations

Follow Logbook scheduled maintenance as per vehicle manufacturers guidelines

Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers

Test and repair basic electrical circuits

Perform repairs on exhaust systems and heating/cooling systems

Repair or replace worn and faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, differentials or steering gear; dismantle them and check parts, referring to manuals as necessary

Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts or assemblies, use various instruments to make sure they are working properly and put them back into the vehicle

Perform preventive maintenance, such as checking fluid levels, brake systems, steering, generating, ignition, and electrical wiring systems

Tune engines using special electronic equipment and make fine adjustments, eg. carburettor/electronic fuel injection

Diagnose, repair and replace engine management/fuel injection components

Use electronic test equipment to locate and correct malfunctions in lighting, instrumentation, electronic fuel injection, ignition, and emissions control systems
