🎯 WANTED: Creative Graduate Interior Designer Ready To Learn It All — From Drafting To Delivery!
Are you a design graduate with big dreams and a hunger to really understand how a project comes together?
Do you want to go beyond the classroom and finally gain the hands-on experience most designers only wish they had?
If you’re ready to design real spaces, learn how to bring them to life, and work side-by-side with an experienced business owner and cabinet maker — this could be the most important job ad you ever read.
Here’s why:
😩 Sick of Feeling Like You’re Just “Support Staff”?
You’ve done the hard work to get your diploma — but now the jobs you see are either:
Asking for “3+ years” of experience for a junior role...
Locking you into repetitive admin or CAD work with no real exposure to how a kitchen gets built...
Or pushing you into large firms where you never get to see your designs through to completion.
If you're craving the kind of experience that makes you not just a designer but a true project expert — this is your chance.
💡 Why You’ll Want To Build Your Career With Action Kitchens
Draft Real Plans For Real Clients: Learn how to create and present complete kitchen layouts using Cabinet Vision/Vortex Spaces (we’ll train you), and apply your existing SketchUp and CAD skills to produce professional plans and presentation packages.
Understand Construction Viability: You won’t just draw pretty things — you’ll learn how to spot construction challenges and design within real-world site constraints, with support from experienced tradespeople.
Hands-On Learning Most Designers Dream Of: From site measures to installation day, you’ll be exposed to every stage of the project. Watch your designs actually come to life — and learn what works (and what doesn’t) along the way.
Work Directly With The Business Owner: Be mentored by an experienced cabinet maker who knows both design and construction — and is passionate about passing that knowledge on to the right person.
Costing & Project Coordination: Learn how to quote projects accurately, understand supplier and material costs, and coordinate with tradies to bring a kitchen renovation smoothly to completion.
A Schedule That Actually Respects Your Time: Choose between 7:00am–3:30pm or 9:00am–5:00pm — both within a 38-hour week. Overtime available as required to meet project deadlines.
