Sri Lankan Cuisine Chef

Cinnamon Gate Restaurant is looking for a full-time Chef for their busy Restaurant in Noble Park, VIC.

Annual salary: $73,150 pa plus superannuation.

Cinnamon Gate is a dining restaurant in Noble Park serving a wide variety of delicious and traditional Sri Lankan Cuisine dishes and we need a qualified and experienced Chef to join our energetic team.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to prepare delicious meals according to our menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery.

To be considered for this role you must have;

• Australian trade qualified Certificate 3, 4 in cookery and Diploma or higher in supervisory and managing a busy kitchen.

• 1 year or more full time local Australian experience in a busy kitchen.

• Preference will be also given to applicants having knowledge and experience in cooking authentic & traditional Sri Lankan cuisine

• Ability to prepare all dishes displayed on menu

• Experience in planning menus, developing recipes, preparing, cooking and maintaining food quality

• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

• Instruct cooks and other kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.

• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

• Select and train kitchen staff as and when required

• Ability to maintain a clean kitchen and use kitchen appliances and equipment safely.

• Ability to maintain a COVID safe workplace.

• May need to work varied shifts as also on weekends.
