Join our team at Café Latte – a boutique café in the heart of Toorak, known for our premium breakfasts, warm atmosphere, and growing demand for private events.

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated chef to join us either full-time or part-time. The ideal candidate will be confident with classic breakfast and brunch offerings and excited to grow with us as we expand our functions and events catering.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and execute high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes with consistency

Maintain a clean, well-organised, and hygienic kitchen at all times

Work independently in the kitchen, with support from a kitchen assistant on weekends

Assist in the development and preparation of function menus (e.g. canapé, buffet, or plated options)

Manage stock rotation, ordering, and basic kitchen administration

Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards

Adapt to changing menus and be willing to contribute creatively

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a café or similar kitchen environment

Solid skills in breakfast and brunch cooking (poaching, plating, speed, etc.)

Experience or interest in small-scale event catering (preferred)

Ability to work independently and handle service solo when needed

Strong focus on cleanliness and kitchen hygiene – non-negotiable

Positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow with the business

Full working rights in Australia; no sponsorship available

If on a visa, you must have at least 6 months remaining
