Our client who offers worldwide specialty industrial related solutions and services with a focus on oil-free, high pressure, energy saving, and other applications are seeking a experienced Tax Accountant to join its Holdings Team at their HO in the Western Suburbs.
Reporting to the Business Controller the Tax Accountant is responsible for taxation compliance and reporting, legal and statutory financial reporting, managing insurance, and related support activities for the group companies in Australia and New Zealand.
Your duties include:
Taxation and financial reporting
internal reviews, tax return preparation, analysis, and projects. Includes company tax, FBT, payroll tax, GST, and other taxes.
Transfer Pricing, Country by Country and related compliance, and reporting.
Preparation and on time lodgement of statutory accounts,
Managing all matters relating to internal and external taxation and financial audits efficiently in accordance with group timelines and requirements
Technical tasks and processes such as consolidation accounting, deferred tax accounting, lease reporting in line with IFRS16
Insurance
Managing insurance obligations, including following all group instructions, reporting, liaising with insurance companies and brokers, responding to internal and external enquiries, and other related matters
Treasury
Managing treasury obligations, including cash pool arrangements, loans, dividends, reporting, liaising with external Financial Solutions and external banks, responding to internal and external enquiries, and other related matters
Acquisitions
Working closely with new and potential companies in the group
Involvement with pre acquisition activities such as due diligence reviews
Integration activities and providing support in all tax, insurance, and other financial areas.
Manage administration and projects for Holding.
Other finance and administration activities as required.
You will require:
Relevant university degree
CA (preferred) or CPA qualified
Experience with SAP essential
Knowledge and experience with taxation and legal reporting legislation and processes
Strong technical accounting skills
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
Excellent communication and English skills.
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and general computer skills
A high level of attention to detail
This is an immediate start for a 12-month contract with the potential to continue or turn into a permanent role.
