We are looking for a friendly, energetic, adaptable person to join our organisation as a Maintenance Attendant. This is a full-time opportunity that provides potential for someone who is looking to build a career within an organisation that values the development of great leadership. With a positive and uplifting attitude, our ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in customer service, workplace safety, and a proactive approach to finding solutions within the moment.
As we are in the hospitality industry, the successful candidate needs to be flexible to work full-time hours each week with the occasional weekend where required. Additional hours might be needed from time to time whilst on-call or when there are important projects underway on site.

The Opportunity and You!
We are looking for an all-rounder handy man! Our number 1 priority is customer experience. In this role you will cater for the needs of internal and external customers. This will include:
General Maintenance and Repairs: On the tools handling the day-to-day maintenance and repair work on site, covering cleaning, painting, fixing of fixtures, repairs and maintenance to existing installations and new installations. Maintaining and assessing operational systems including electrical, gas, HVAC, catering and mechanical equipment.
Contractor coordination: Liaising with and monitoring external contractors conducting maintenance/repair work, maintaining insurance and inductions, and building strong relationships with group wide and local tradespeople
Compliance and Budgets: Identifying and reporting any workplace hazards or security discrepancies and sitting on the WHS Committee, including meetings and training. Monitor the property budget for each site, process invoices and make recommendations for financial viability of works
Teamwork: Be on call to respond to, and advise on, breakdowns, emergencies and troubleshooting when required after hours. Attend leadership meetings to provide updates on facilities whilst working to support a small but diverse team with strong, genuine relationships.
Dock management: Receive deliveries for property and contractors and maintain a safe work area and safe use and storage of equipment such as pallet jacks and EWP.
Projects: Work as part of the project team outside of regular hours where required
Required skills·
Customer service focus with a knack for building genuine relationships
Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to think on your feet with a can-do attitude
Desire to learn and expand your skillset
Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
High-level of personal presentation
Experience with power tools, patch and repair, and painting
Strong computer literacy
Full drivers licence
Desirable skills
Trade certificate
Experience in facilities – especially HVAC or Building and Construction
Experience with various building systems such as lifts, FIP & EWIS, HVAC, BAS.
Knowledge of WHS regulations including Annual Fire Safety, RCD Testing, Test & Tag and other aspects of statutory compliance.
Cost monitoring and P&L management
