ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Maintenance Officer with hands-on experience in a similar role, this position reports to the Head of Facilities, IT and Procurement and is responsible for completing the day-to-day repairs and maintenance at the school as directed by the Maintenance Manager. This role is varied and will require the applicant to prioritise their tasks on a daily basis and to manage the quality of their work. The role consists of 36 hours per week from Monday to Friday and the hours of work are 7:00am to 3:06pm during term-time and non-term time (with four weeks annual leave).

To be successful for this role, the following experience, skills and attributes are essential.:
Demonstrated high level of competence and experience in general property and grounds maintenance and repairs
Trade qualification is desirable.
Energetic with a positive can-do attitude.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with members of the School and the Wider community.
Proven ability to follow direction and use a commonsense approach to complete tasks.
Excellent understanding of Work, Health and Safety issues and Chemical Handling as they relate to facilities maintenance.
A current Working with Children Check.
Results orientated, with strong time management and organisational skills and the ability to multitask and use initiative.
Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with contractors.
Ability to maintain accurate filing of all maintenance and service records.
Current Drivers Licence, and Light Rigid Licence is desirable.
Current First Aid Certificate and Working at Heights Certificate is desirable.
Flexibility to work after hours or on weekends as required.
