Ciao! Are you a passionate, hands-on Head Chef who loves Italian food and knows how to lead a kitchen like a well-oiled (olive oil, of course) machine?

Sal’s Pasta Deli is looking for a standout Head Chef to help run the show in our beautiful little deli, tucked in one of Perth’s most stylish beachside suburbs. This is not your average kitchen gig — we’re after a leader who lives and breathes hospitality, thrives on good vibes, and has a sharp eye for quality, consistency and creativity.

About the Role

Working alongside owner Sal — polished, professional, and as passionate about pasta as you are. Together, you'll keep daily service humming, bring fresh energy to the kitchen, and ensuring every dish and every shift reflects the heart and soul of Italian hospitality.

Aside from exceptional cooking — you will be training, mentoring, menu-planning, stock-checking, roster-building and stepping in to scrub down when needed. This is a hands-on role for someone who leads with integrity, builds strong team culture, and isn’t afraid of the nitty-gritty when things get busy.

To elevate the brand and add prestige in all we do you will be customer-facing when it counts, whether it is introducing new menus, sharing new product knowledge, handling feedback with care, chatting to regulars during quiet moments, or bringing a personal touch to events and special guests. You know when your presence adds value and aren’t afraid to step out of the kitchen when needed.

What You’ll Bring:

Leadership experience in fast-paced kitchens

Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine (pasta knowledge = big tick!)

Creativity, initiative and a drive to innovate

A team-first attitude and confidence giving (and receiving) feedback

Pride in presentation, quality and consistency

A love for hospitality and building a happy, well-trained crew
