The Rockwellgroup is now looking for an experienced Café Manager to join their team. It’s a rotating roster that will require you to work Wednesday to Sunday
The Café Manager oversees daily operations to ensure smooth service, exceptional customer experiences, and a motivated, high-performing team. They are responsible for leading the café to meet sales targets, uphold brand standards, and maintain a welcoming, organised environment for customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
Oversee the daily running of the café, ensuring consistent service and operational efficiency.
Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.
Ensure the café meets all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
Maintain stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory control to minimise waste.
Team Leadership
Recruit, train, roster, and supervise café staff.
Foster a positive team culture with a focus on professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence.
Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing training.
Customer Service
Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service.
Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally and promptly.
Build strong relationships with regular customers and the broader community.
Financial Management
Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales and profitability targets.
Manage budgets for labor, stock, and operational expenses.
Analyse financial reports and implement strategies for improvement.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Café Manager or in a similar hospitality leadership role.
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Solid understanding of café operations, POS systems, and stock management.
Knowledge of food safety standards.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
