Salary range is $73,361.60 - $84,801.60 p.a. negotiable dependent on skills and experience, plus allowances.

About the Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced person to join our dynamic Community Services Team.
This position is responsible for supporting the Coordinator Communities East with the effective delivery of high-quality events, services, and programs for the local community. This includes assisting with and leading community development initiatives, including youth engagement, stakeholder management, club and group support and maintaining the Shire's partnerships and reputation in the community.
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth, families, and community groups from diverse cultural backgrounds. You will be creative and innovative in using activities to bring people together and increase liveability in our towns. Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded, however, with the right attitude and drive this experience is not essential.
Flexibility is essential for this role as it does involve after-hours, weekend, and public holiday work. Local government experience is not essential but will be looked upon favourably.
This position offers a competitive remuneration package and six weeks' annual leave. All terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement 2022.
