Exciting opportunity for a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to contribute to a high-impact transformation project within Federal Government. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP, ensuring performance, security, and efficiency in a hybrid environment. You will be responsible for optimising cloud resources, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing expert support to internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in containerisation (Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift), cloud networking principles, and single sign-on (SSO) integrations. Experience with automation tools, infrastructure-as-code, and government cybersecurity frameworks (ISM, Essential 8, PSPF) is essential. Additional skills in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and traditional on-premise infrastructure are highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure in alignment with cloud strategy and platform architecture.
• Configuring and managing cloud services, optimising system performance and ensuring security and troubleshooting issues.
• Produce high quality, detailed documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and requirements.
• Support delivery of additional activities on an as needs basis.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Cloud services such as compute, storage and databases across major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS and GCP).?
• Implementing messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus to support microservices, event-driven architecture and enterprise integration needs.
• Containerisation (Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift)
• Managing hybrid environments (cloud and on-premise).
• Optimisation of cloud resource utilisation to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Government cyber security frameworks (ISM, Essential 8, PSPF)
• DevOps and implementation of CI/CD pipelines?
• Traditional on-premise infrastructure services (datacentre, virtualisation, compute, storage, network and backup)
• Monitoring and logging?across a hybrid environment
