Hills Housing & Disability Services (HHDS) seeks multiple casual Disability Support workers for shifts of all hours across a 7 day schedule.

SCHADS Award rates apply, including the casual loading.

Purpose

Provide quality, flexible and customised care designed for people living with a disability. Assist people with daily living tasks, community inclusion and participation activities. Support our clients to maintain their wellbeing, explore opportunities, and work towards agreed outcomes.

· personal care, health and well-being, community inclusion, meal preparation, independent living skills

· increase capacity, independence, and community connections

· maintain client records, data collection and reports in a professional manner

· additional duties as directed

Requirements

· An understanding and commitment to the rights of people living with a disability

· Proven ability to understand, communicate with and effectively interact with people across cultures

· Comply with the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 and the NDIS Code of Conduct Rules 2018

· Manual handling competency: lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and repetitive actions

· Effective communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills

Pre-requisite and ongoing requirements

· Drivers Licence and car insurance proof

· DHS Clearance for Working with Children

· NDIS Worker Screening

· Cert III Individual Support (Disability) or higher

· NDIS Online Training – all four modules (certificates) https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/

· Assist with Medication (certificate), refresher every 12 months

· Manual Handling (certificate), refresher every 24 months

· Infection Control (certificate), refresher every 24 months
