A well-established property development and design group based in Brisbane is seeking a motivated Development Manager or Assistant Development Manager to join their growing team. The company focuses predominantly on land subdivisions but also delivers a diverse mix of projects including residential, industrial, childcare, and bespoke housing developments. With integrated in-house capabilities across development, design, and sales, the team manages projects from end to end—offering exposure to the full development lifecycle.

The Opportunity
This role presents a rare opportunity to contribute to a pipeline of over 1,000 residential lots and a landmark $3 billion urban renewal project. Working closely with the Development Director, you’ll take part in delivering a broad mix of development types—with primary focus on land subdivisions—while gaining experience across other asset classes.

This position is ideal for a Development Manager ready to take full ownership of projects, or an Assistant Development Manager with 2+ years’ experience looking to step up in a well-supported, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities (Based on Experience Level)

Finance & Feasibility

Assist with or lead the preparation of project feasibilities, budgets, and cashflow forecasts

Contribute to monthly project reporting

Planning & Design

Support or manage DA submissions and approvals

Assist with coordination of consultants and design teams

Participate in or lead post-DA design development and documentation

Sales & Marketing

Support marketing efforts including collateral, sales displays, and campaign coordination

Assist with or oversee contract preparation and compliance

Manage or contribute to customer communication, agent engagement, and pre-settlement processes

Construction & Delivery

Assist with tender preparation and contract administration

Attend site meetings, manage progress documentation, and liaise with builders

Contribute to approvals, inspections, and overall project delivery

Reporting & Strategy

Assist in preparing project reports

Conduct research on planning trends, residential market activity, and sales performance

Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

About You
This role suits a proactive and detail-oriented individual who’s looking to immerse themselves in the full development process. Whether you're stepping into a Development Manager role or progressing as an Assistant Development Manager, you’ll need to be resourceful, organised, and eager to contribute.

Your Background:

Tertiary qualifications in property, planning, construction, or a related field

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a client-side development or consultancy role

Sound understanding of the development lifecycle, planning systems, and contracts

Exposure to feasibility modelling (Estate Master experience a plus)

Confident communicator with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders

A current driver’s licence for site visits

Desire to grow and develop within a collaborative team
