Our client is an innovative, grassroots organisation supporting communities across Greater Western Sydney. Programs supporting youth, families, and communities are delivered through community centres and Aboriginal family centres across the region. They're working collaboratively to provide quality services that promote strength, inclusion, and respect for children & families.
This newly established role will be instrumental in launching and embedding our clients NDIS clinical services model. The Clinical Psychologist will provide clinical supervision and leadership to the NDIS team, deliver therapeutic services to students within local schools, and co-design community-based mental health programs that extend beyond NDIS funding streams.
This role offers true flexibility. From attending school camps to running after-school programs, you’ll enjoy a dynamic mix of clinical work and creative engagement across a 4 or 5 day working week of your choice!
You’ll have the freedom to pick up sessions during school holidays—and with one full day each week dedicated to team connection and keeping reports up to date, you can finally do your best work without the burnout!
This role will involve;
- Share responsibility for the wellbeing and performance of the NDIS team, helping to maintain a psychologically safe, supportive, and accountable work culture.
- Provide psychological therapy to students within schools across the Penrith LGA
- Maintain accurate client records and uphold all clinical standards in line with AHPRA, NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission requirements, and internal policies.
- Offer clinical supervision and professional guidance to NDIS team members, fostering evidence-based practice and team capacity-building.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement group-based mental health programs that meet community needs and improve accessibility.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, community organisations, and inter-agency stakeholders to ensure collaborative, wraparound support for clients.
The requirements for this role include;
- Master’s degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or a recognised clinical area with current AHPRA registration.
- Postgraduate qualifications in coursework, clinical training, and supervised placement experience.
- At least 2 years post-registration clinical experience, preferably working with children and/or in school settings.
- Excellent communication, record keeping, and stakeholder engagement skills
- This is an on-site role requiring travel across the LGA
