HXR is a locally owned and operated company located in Clovass NSW - We provide high quality quarry products and civil earthworks to the Northern Rivers.

We are currently recruiting for a Diesel Mechanic (Road transport or Plant)

The role will be based at Clovass Quarry, and will be responsible for conducting servicing, maintenance and repairs to a large tipper fleet as well as mobile plant and crushing equipment. Clovass Quarry is a Tier 1 quarry with a fully equipped workshop including service pits, hoists, machine shop and fabrication bay.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain skills in road transport & mining/quarrying equipment maintenance, including:

Engine/Transmission rebuilds

Hydraulics

Electronic systems

Fabrication/Machining

Preventative maintenance

Wide variety of equipment - Kenworth, Western Star, Mack, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hyundai

Essential role requirements:

Must hold a valid Australian Drivers licence

Current white card (Or can obtain prior to starting)

Relevant trade certificate (Road transport/plant mechanic) - May consider ups killing automative (Car) mechanic

Flexible with daily tasks and ability to adapt as conditions and project Priorities Change.

Ability to Start - ASAP

Safety conscious & reliable with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Self-Motivated to Safely achieve daily targets as set by Supervisor.

Good computer skills, able to utilise app/web based maintenance systems

Desirable role requirements:

Experience maintaining similar equipment

Truck license

Competitive hourly rate/salary can be negotiated for the successful candidate. Company vehicle included in package for the right candidate.
