Barossa Australia is the regional voice for Barossa’s grape, wine and tourism community. We champion the region’s people, stories and experiences - locally and globally - through industry engagement, events, marketing, and advocacy. From wine shows and trade visits to member services and major events, our work helps shape Barossa’s reputation as one of the world’s great wine and tourism destinations.
We are now looking for a well-organised and community-minded Membership & Events Officer to join our team.
This part-time role plays a key role in coordinating high-profile regional events, such as the Barossa Wine Auction and Barossa Wine Show. You'll manage logistics, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure seamless event delivery - maintaining the high standards expected of Barossa's regional showcases.
In parallel, you’ll support membership engagement, maintain accurate CRM records, and act as a friendly point of contact for our grape, wine and tourism community. Working closely with the Brand & Demand team, you'll contribute to the smooth delivery of Barossa Australia’s programs and services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Helping members with everyday enquiries and keeping our CRM up to date
Supporting member onboarding, renewals, benefit delivery and communications
Coordinating a variety of events – from large-scale industry showcases to smaller tastings, trade visits and familiarisation programs
Managing bookings and activity at The Barossa Cellar, ensuring its always event-ready
Liaising with stakeholders, volunteers and sponsors to ensure smooth event delivery
Generating reports and insights from CRM and event data to support internal needs
What You Bring:
Strong people skills and a customer service mindset
Demonstrated experience in event coordination, including larger or multi-stakeholder events
Attention to detail and confidence using digital tools, especially CRM systems
Ability to manage time effectively and deliver high-quality work across multiple tasks
A warm, down-to-earth approach and a steady focus on doing things well
This is a part-time role with flexible hours by agreement. Some after-hours work will be required during event periods.
