About the role

Reporting to the Head of Logistics, Logistics Officers play an integral role within the National Jet Express Logistics team. This position is responsible for the procurement of aeronautical products, supporting material planning activities, and managing stock reordering requirements to ensure the continued airworthiness and operational readiness of the company’s fleet.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor and action reorder requirements to ensure stock levels are maintained and not exhausted.

Action maintenance planning requirements for aeronautical products required to support aircraft maintenance activities.

Ensure all supplied aeronautical products are accompanied by the appropriate release documentation from approved suppliers.

Process unserviceable, routable, and repairable items in a timely and accurate manner.

Review stock usage and provide recommendations to the Head of Logistics regarding adjustments or improvements.

Source and purchase parts in a cost-effective and timely manner, in line with operational requirements.

Investigate and action invoice queries as required.

Action goods-inward queries and manage rejections appropriately.

Regularly follow up on outstanding orders and update estimated delivery dates accordingly.

Report any delivery delays or issues to the Head of Logistics in a timely manner.

Uphold safety as a core value and actively contribute to achieving a Zero Harm workplace through participation in relevant safety programs and practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Previous experience using an ERP system (e.g., Ramco or similar).

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes.

High level of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Previous experience in materials procurement is highly regarded.

Experience using Ramco is advantageous.
