At Palm Lake Resort Forster Lake is one of Australia’s most prestigious over-50s lifestyle communities, we are seeking a talented and passionate Chef/Cook to join our elite team. Located on the lakes and surrounded by award-winning facilities this is a perfect opportunity for a skilled cook to join our established team.

Join our New Award Winning Club House at Palm Lake Resorts Forster Lakes. This is a Permanent Part time position offering 34 hours per week, where you will provide meal services to our residents working a Monday to Friday roster.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate cook who is experienced in preparing wholesome family meals and dessert style menus. We are looking for a Cook/Chef that and is committed to the preparation and presentation of meals that will exceed our residents expectations.

In this position you will be required to also bake cakes, desserts and muffin like treats.

All food is prepared and made on site in our brand new kitchen facilities, you will work in a small team to a set roster.

Responsibilities;

Prepare, cook and serve food with a strong focus on food safety standards; including lunch, dinner and desserts;

Maintain stock control, ordering and receiving stock;

Contribute to Menu design and implementation;

Cleaning of kitchen facilities to highest standards.

The successful applicant will have;

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant trade qualifications or equivalent skills from previous experience;

Relevant experience in the full process including food preparation, baking and serving for relevant numbers;

Experienced in maintaining a high standard in cleanliness and Food HACCAP protocols;

Current “C” class Drivers Licence;

The drive and motivation to provide outstanding food quality whilst balancing dietary requirements;

Personal high standard of presentation, hygiene and grooming;

Previous experience working in a high order kitchen;

Work in a collaborative team environment
