About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Child Care Centre Cook to join our team at Jane's Place Early Learning Centre Alexandria in the heart of Alexandria, NSW. This part-time role will see you preparing nutritious and delicious meals for the children in our care, catering to their dietary needs and preferences.

What you'll be doing

Plan, prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children

Ensure all meals meet nutritional guidelines and cater to any dietary requirements or allergies

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards

Collaborate with the centre's management team to develop seasonal menus

Manage food orders and inventory to minimise waste

Provide a positive and nurturing mealtime experience for the children

What we're looking for

Relevant experience as a cook or chef in a childcare or educational setting

Knowledge of nutrition, food safety and preparation for children

Ability to cater to a range of dietary requirements and preferences

Strong organisational and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Food Safety Supervisor certification
