The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. A new role awaits

The Chief Information Officer Division has multiple APS5 vacancies across branches.

The Agency ICT Services Branch is a vital part of the Technology Services Division, operating with the Integrity Transformation and Technology Services Group of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). The branch is responsible for the delivery, management and operation of key enterprise technology products and services that support every area of the NDIA.

APS5 Service Reliability Analyst

The Agency ICT Services Branch supports all ICT systems and infrastructure. The branch provides support ICT services to Agency Staff and Partners. This includes the design, build, and maintenance of ICT applications, infrastructure, and hardware.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing reliability issues impacting ICT applications and services.
  • Enhancing and refining ICT monitoring including security events.
  • Developing and maintaining automated alert escalations.
  • Developing and maintaining automated incident remediations.

Location: Deakin, Midland

APS5 Site Technology Officer

The Site Technology and Networks Section sits within the Agency ICT Services Branch and provide all technology solutions to our offices around the country.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Working as an onsite liaison for senior technical staff, vendors, and end users.
  • Supporting the Agency’s video conferencing and audio-visual technologies including configuration, acoustic testing, and training for end users.
  • Providing support for physical network services onsite, including hardware installation and removal, patching and break fix troubleshooting.
  • Using tools such as drills for the installation and removal of hardware and potentially working with heavy and awkward objects such as visual displays.
  • Providing support on the M365 platform.

Location: NSW

APS5 Platform Engineer

  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and storage systems associated with our data science platform cloud and on-premises solutions.
  • Implement and support cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) to enhance system reliability.
  • Work with data science teams to ensure seamless integration of analytical applications and infrastructure.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.

You will excel at providing IT support services to stakeholders with the knowledge you are enhancing outcomes for our participants.

Service Reliability Analyst
Our ideal candidate will be confident to identify trends, patterns and anomalies. They will have the ability to solve problems and work as part of a fast-paced collaborative team. We are looking for someone with effective communication skills, both written and verbal who is capable of working directly with technical support areas to resolve reliability issues. Attention to detail will be important in monitoring services and responding to alerts and experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace is desired.

APS5 Site Technology Officer
What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate is expertise in managing video conferencing and audio-visual technologies, including configuration and acoustic testing. Diagnostics Skills to resolve issues related to physical network services, including hardware installation and troubleshooting. You will have the capability to handle heavy and awkward objects such as visual displays and use tools such as drills for hardware installation. Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting the Microsoft 365 platform. Certification in a recognised technology industry standard(s)

APS5 Platform Engineer
The APS5 Platform Engineer will be a subject matter expert of design, implementation and compliance of the NDIA cloud infrastructure. You will have the ability to prioritise and take ownership, as well as assist the broader Agency ICT Services Branch. You will be comfortable working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical resources with a high aptitude for learning in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for someone who has a passion and drive for working in a DevSecOps environment, working with the latest tools and technologies.

While this role is ideally performed from various NDIA Office locations, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered. (Tailored pending engagement type)

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
