This is a hands-on role that reports to and works alongside our Service Manager.

The successful candidate will lead in the execution of the safe & efficient operations of our dynamic Stores division. Primary accountabilities include ensuring the safe handling & loading behaviours of our equipment by the stores team. The role also has a requirement for effective receipting, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods including accurate data entry into the company’s ERP (SAP) system.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities include the following.

● Ensure the ongoing activities of stores operations by working with the Service Managers to schedule employees daily and following up on those tasks regularly. The role is also very much a hands-on one that includes Storman duties.

● Motivate, organize and encourage the stores team to meet their obligations on efficient and safe running of stores division.

● Provide on-going leadership in the loading and unloading of our bulky industrial parts safely, every time.

A key competency is demonstrating daily an unrelenting commitment safe loading practices. A willingness to mentor team members in loading and handling heavy industrial equipment is an central aspect of the role.

● Be fastidiously the safeguarding of our stock by accurately receipting, transferring internally and dispatching our parts and equipment.

● Protect the integrity of the stock module within our ERP system; candidates should have a high degree of confidence in data entry and software use. An enduring curiosity to learn more about the stock system is a key attribute required for this role.

● Assist the company in improving and developing its policies and procedures to provide a safer working environment.

● Protect stores operations and contents by supporting and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

● Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.

● Conducts Annual Stocktake, regular stock counts, stock adjustments and allocations.

● Maintains physical condition of stores by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requesting replacements.

● Respond to and dealing with customer & supplier communication by email, fax and telephone.
