Job description:
The Senior Safety and Wellbeing Advisor - Metro is responsible for delivering service excellence and leading a high performing team of safety and wellbeing professionals. The team provides high quality, customer-centric and responsive safety advisory services to support employee safety and wellbeing across the department, with a focus on the Metropolitan Melbourne area.
As the successful applicant, you will work with a diverse range of partners to ensure the integrated delivery of operational safety services across DEECA, contributing to the delivery of the department's safety priorities and in building a customer-focused team. You will support the implementation of DEECA's safety and wellbeing frameworks, enabling a safe working environment, building and driving successful relationships while actively promoting a positive and consultative safe work environment.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Diploma in occupational health and safety, and/or qualifications or training in occupational hygiene or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
- People management and extensive communication skills
- Significant exposure and experience in previous occupational health and safety roles
- Experience in emergency management operations will be highly regarded.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
