We are currently seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join the Australian Public Service (APS) as Workforce Planners across APS5 to EL1 levels.
The Opportunity
We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced professionals to take on Workforce Planner roles within the Australian Public Service (APS) at APS5 through to EL1 levels.
These positions offer a unique opportunity to contribute to critical workforce strategies and help shape the future workforce. In these roles, you will tackle workforce challenges, analyse data to drive insights, and develop strategies that align with organisational priorities.

The Role
As a Workforce Planner, you will play a key role in workforce planning and analytics. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering workforce strategies and plans aligned with organisational priorities
- Analysing workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Supporting workforce capability planning and providing advice to internal stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with APS policies and legislative frameworks
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workforce planning processes
The Ideal Person
We are looking for proactive individuals with experience in workforce planning, HR, or similar fields, ideally within the APS. You will have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret workforce data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. A sound understanding of APS frameworks, policies, and workforce planning tools is essential, as is the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders effectively. You will thrive under tight deadlines, using your problem-solving skills to navigate challenges and improve processes.

Salary / Rate
- $85k - $120k + 15.4% Super
- 6 - 12 month non-ongoing
- Options for s26 Transfer
