As a Learning Support Librarian, you’ll work closely with students and academic staff to develop and deliver information literacy support, both in person and online, and provide expert guidance on scholarly resources and copyright.
You will support student success and academic excellence by connecting the University community with the information, tools, and skills they need.
In this role you will:
- Deliver tailored information literacy and library skills sessions within courses in collaboration with academic staff and Teaching Liaison Librarians.
- Provide face-to-face and online support to students through individual consultations and group workshops.
- Assist in developing and maintaining online learning resources to support self-directed learning.
This continuing position is full time and will be located at our Central Coast Campuses (both Ourimbah and Gosford), on Darkinjung Land.
How will you inspire us?
You will have:
- Familiarity with, or experience in, student support in an academic library setting, or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support diverse student and academic audiences both online and in person.
- Confidence using digital tools and technologies to create learning resources and deliver services across multiple platforms and locations.

The remuneration for this position is from $80,972 to $93,929 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an associate diploma and at least 2 years subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of a post-trades certificate or advanced certificate and extensive relevant experience as a technician; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated ability to assist with the development and delivery of information literacy programs, across a variety of formats and modes.
- Sound knowledge of the academic library environment and trends relating to teaching, learning and research.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.
- Sound knowledge of information resources in all forms and demonstrated experience and skills in accessing, utilising, and promoting these resources.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise work, manage time and workloads, solve problems and maintain attention to detail when managing competing demands from multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace culture.
