Are you warm, friendly, and brilliantly organised? Love working in a team?

Then we might be the perfect match!

We’re on the lookout for a Receptionist / Support Legend to be the welcoming face for our patients and the right-hand person for our hardworking sleep technicians (who, let’s be honest, would love a bit more nap time!).

You'll bring reception experience, enthusiasm, multi-tasking magic, and a good sense of humour. We'll bring a supportive team, kind managers, and regular chocolate top-ups.

(Wondering about the pay? We’ll shape the role and salary around your experience and preferred hours. If you’re shortlisted, we promise to discuss this upfront.)

About the role

As Receptionist at SLA Albany you will be the friendly face the patient sees. Your warm hello will make their day! And ours too!

Albany is a team of 5 kind, talented, genuine people who improve patients’ lives by delivering excellent care and diagnostic services. We do it through kindness, patience, knowledge and a little bit of humour.

Reporting to Hayley, our lovely Albany team leader, you’ll work 9am to 5pm, with some flexible days off if required. You will be based in our Albany clinic.

We'll shape the role around the experience of the person we hire. But here’s some of what you’ll get up to:

Provide a welcoming entrance to our patients.

Manage our calendar using Coreplus software. Experience in any medical software will put you in front for this task.

Working with the reception team based in other clinics to answer the phones, confirming appointments and answering patient questions.

Process payments using MYOB, keep payment records and electronic filing.

Liaising with our key service providers

Cleaning devices and equipment.

Maintain a warm office environment.

Here are 5 things we think will make you ideal for this role:

Experience of reception and general administration

Enthusiasm, positivity and the genuine work ethic to ‘get things done’ .

Proven integrity, professionalism and discretion - you’ll be comfortable with sensitive information, and will do the right thing, even when no-one’s watching

A good grasp of the English Language - written and verbal. Spelling and grammar do matter here

A love of organisation, and strong attention to detail

High level of proficiency with Microsoft and Google products with incredibly fast typing skills.

We’d love to see people with reception experience, but it’s not a deal breaker. And we're sorry but you do need the permanent right to work in Australia.

We genuinely value diversity - of perspectives, approaches and lived experiences. We also know that not everyone’s super confident when they apply for roles. So if you’re feeling unsure about any of the above, or just want to have a conversation, email Hayley, [email protected] and she’ll be in touch.

Here are 3 reasons why we hope you’ll love working for us:

Find a culture of kindness and respect. We really care - about our work and our people. We don’t just provide our patients with friendly and compassionate care, you will feel it too.

Do work that matters and feel valued for your contribution. We provide a patient-focussed service. We ‘see’ them when they walk in the door. The experience for them is personal and as such you will enjoy meaningful interactions.

Enjoy varied work and grow as you go. You’ll jump in and out of many different tasks and challenges, and our whole team will support you to achieve, whatever comes your way.

And here are 3 reasons why we’re afraid you might not:

We rarely do additional hours but we do work really hard, every day, we rarely sit still.

SLA’s really good at trust and integrity. We’re not so good at micro-management. If you find it hard to work without pressure or ongoing direction, we’re definitely not the best choice for you

We value change, we are growing and our systems may not be keeping up with us. We need some serious organisational assistance!

Apply:

If you think we could be a good fit for each other, we’d love to hear from you! Please send us your resume via SEEK.

Really want to work with us?

We do get a lot of applications, but plenty of them are pretty generic. So if you're keen, a personalised cover letter really will help you stand out - We will definitely read it! Not sure what to share? How about the value that's most important to you, and three reasons why you think we'd be great together?

Applications close on30th June 2025, but we will be interviewing as we go with the view to hire as soon as we meet the right person. So if you like the sound of us, jump in!

We'll respond to every applicant. Obviously.

Thanks for considering us. Hope to see you soon.
