The Opportunity
As a Weighing and Scanning Officer at the East Gippsland Livestock Exchange, you’ll ensure all animals entering the exchange are accurately documented to maintain stock traceability by scanning, weighing and processing stock entering and leaving the saleyards.
You’ll enter data provided by vendors, liaise with agents, compile reports and process final sale information.
This is a casual position based from the East Gippsland Livestock Exchange in Bairnsdale.
Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Proven administrative experience with strong computer literacy
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Experience with livestock breed identification, and an understanding of industry regulations and saleyard operations
Proactive ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges
A current, valid Victorian Driver’s licence.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and pre-employment medical check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
