Knotwood operates as a privately held company in Stapylton, Queensland. As the demand for our products continues to rise, we’re seeking a motivated Sales Representative – Industrial Products to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building lasting relationships with clients.
KEY COMPETENCIES
Minimum of two years' experience in a trade sales or related industry environment.
Formal qualifications in Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline are preferred.
Solid understanding of the trade sales process and customer lifecycle.
Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Demonstrated success in selling building products, with a strong record of achieving sales targets.
Confident communicator with strong presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Technically proficient with knowledge of building materials and installation methods.
Highly organised with strong time management skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Driven, self-motivated, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Respond to incoming sales enquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
Review and interpret construction plans to complete accurate take-offs and prepare customer quotations.
Provide guidance and product training to customers, ensuring they understand the most effective use of our systems.
Proactively follow up on all quotes and sales leads to convert enquiries into orders.
Identify new business opportunities while nurturing and strengthening existing customer relationships.
Assist customers in navigating our online ordering platform, including order placement, tracking progress, and monitoring freight deliveries.
Collaborate with internal departments such as logistics, technical support, and production to ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of customer orders.
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and transactions using the company CRM system.
Resolve customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally, escalating where required.
Support pricing negotiations and sales terms in accordance with company guidelines and margin targets.
Ensure adherence to all company procedures, WHS requirements, and relevant industry standards.
Undertake additional tasks and projects as directed by the Internal Sales Manager.
REMUNERATION
Salary is dependent on your skill set and experience.
