About this opportunity:

The Leading Hand Parks Maintenance role is essential for preserving the beauty and functionality of Mackay's parks, cemeteries, and camping grounds. The position includes assisting in scheduled maintenance activities for grass, garden beds, and trees, with a strong focus on horticultural practices.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Qualification in Horticulture
  • QLD C Class Drivers Licence
  • General Construction Induction Card
  • Chainsaw Level 1
  • Medium Rigid Truck Licence
  • ACDC Weed Spraying Licence
  • Practical horticultural experience in a similar role, understanding the specific demands and responsibilities of parks maintenance and team supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate work instructions, plan, and schedule horticultural tasks and projects to ensure successful delivery within deadlines.
