Salary Scale: QLGIA Stream B (Level A1-A6) – $59-$63k PLUS 12% Super

ABOUT THE ROLE
Based in Gayndah and reporting to the Parks & Open Spaces Supervisor, this hands-on role is responsible for maintaining and improving Council’s parks, gardens, cemeteries, playgrounds and other public spaces.
You will work as part of a small, community-focused team doing everything from mowing, pruning and spraying to landscaping, operating equipment and maintaining public amenities. No two days are the same, and your efforts will help keep our region clean, safe and looking great for residents and visitors alike.
This is an outdoor role that requires physical fitness, a strong work ethic and a willingness to pitch in – rain, hail or shine!
ABOUT YOU
You take pride in a job well done and enjoy being outdoors with your hands in the dirt (or on the mower). You are a reliable team player who is comfortable following direction but can also work independently to get things done.
To be successful, you will need:
A current C Class driver’s licence and White Card
Experience using mowers, whipper snippers, blowers or similar tools/plant
The ability to work safely and follow procedures
A genuine interest in parks, gardens and public spaces
A reasonable level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening, to confirm fitness to safely perform the role
The following would be a bonus:
ACDC/Commercial Operator’s Licence
MR licence or above, First Aid, and experience using plant like skid steers or loaders

About North Burnett Regional Council
The North Burnett Regional Council is established as a body corporate under the Local Government Act 2009
The Council came into existence on the 15 March, 2008 following the Queensland local government reform process which resulted in the amalgamation of 6 Shires – Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Perry and Biggenden , into the new North Burnett Regional Council.
The elected Council is the law making body and consists of the Mayor and 6 Councillors. The administration of Council is headed by the Chief Executive Officer.
