Our Yandina, QLD location is a sub-branch of our Bathurst, NSW headquarters, dedicated to repairing and servicing pumps for our large customer base. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in a hands-on role, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of our pumping solutions.

About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter – Repairs to join our team in Yandina. If you have experience in pump repairs, diagnostics, and assembly, this is your chance to be part of a growing business with a strong reputation in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to improving processes in your work area by identifying and implementing efficiency improvements.
• Strip, assess, and complete reports on pump repairs within 5 days of receipt.
• Diagnose faults, inspect every part for damage/wear, and determine the cause of failures.
• Liaise with the Production Manager to schedule repair jobs.
• Select and organise parts for repairs in coordination with the parts picker.
• Perform alignment and coupling alignment tasks.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
• Be willing to travel and work onsite as required.

Technical Skills & Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Use precision measurement tools, including micrometers, vernier calipers, and depth gauges.
• Compile parts lists and check/set tolerances.
• Work closely with Electrical Fitters and Fitter Machinists to complete repair jobs.
• Communicate effectively with the Team Leader regarding part shortages or requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed within safety parameters, contributing to a strong safety culture.

Additional Licences & Tickets (Advantageous but not Essential):

• Forklift Licence
• HR or MR Truck Licence
• Crane Ticket
• Dogman Ticket
