Role Overview
We are seeking a driven and safety-conscious Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and design assurance across a portfolio of rail infrastructure projects. This role sits within a highly regarded WA-based project delivery team, supporting the delivery of capital works. The ideal candidate will combine strong design expertise with a collaborative mindset and commitment to engineering excellence.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in the delivery of heavy infrastructure or rail-based electrical projects
• Deep understanding of Australian Standards, HAZOP, HAZID, and Safety in Design
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills (internal and external)
• Strong background in technical review, QA, and supporting design and construction packages
• Ability to liaise with contractors, consultants, and operations/maintenance teams
• Chartered status or progress towards (CPEng) highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and quality assurance input across a portfolio of rail outloading projects
• Support the preparation of scopes of work, RFQ packages, and procurement activities
• Participate in and lead design reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and Safety in Design processes
• Perform site inspections and commissioning support to ensure fit-for-purpose outcomes
• Foster strong working relationships with operations, maintenance, and external contractors
• Promote a culture of safety and accountability within the engineering team and project stakeholders
