As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead the financial reporting function and contribute to the ongoing evolution of finance operations globally.

The Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a critical leadership role responsible for driving consolidated group reporting, technical accounting governance, and the development of finance systems, policies, and controls.
The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team, act as a key liaison for external stakeholders, and partner closely with executives across the business.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Lead month-end close processes, ensuring accurate general ledger entries and timely reporting
Manage group consolidation, including purchase price accounting and intercompany transactions
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and AASB
Coordinate half-year and full-year statutory reporting and external audits
Deliver Board and executive reporting packs with clear insights and financial commentary
Provide detailed financial analysis on trends, risks, variances, and business drivers to support strategic decision-making
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and group cash flow management including short- and long-term forecasting
Prepare technical accounting papers for complex transactions and advise on compliance impacts
Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting tools, and processes, with a focus on ERP optimisation (Dynamics 365 preferred)
Ensure compliance with financing arrangements, royalty reporting, and statutory obligations
Respond to audit and lender queries and support rehabilitation provision calculations and contract assessments
Build and mentor a capable finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth
Skills and Experience
CA/CPA qualified, with a relevant tertiary degree
Big 4 external audit background highly desirable
Strong experience in a senior financial leadership position within a large, complex organisation
Deep technical accounting knowledge (IFRS) and reporting experience
Track record of improving systems, controls, and reporting frameworks
Strong leadership and team development capabilities
Skilled communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
