THE POSITION:
Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Asset Officer (Driveway Crossing Approvals) to support the Asset Management Division of Fairfield City Council.
The primary purpose of the position is to coordinate and administer driveway crossing applications and requests. The coordination also includes site inspections, assessment and determination of driveway applications using Council's specifications.
ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and/or demonstrated experience in assessing and determining infrastructure.
- Experience in the management of vehicular crossings including providing a determination, specifying levels and plans for customers in line with Council's policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of the Roads Act, Council's powers and duties as a Roads Authority, and other agency and public utility legislation and procedures relating to access to road reserves and public lands.
- Experience and knowledge of construction and maintenance of Council's infrastructure assets including technical specifications and standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices, legislation, and specifications associated with the assessment and determination of infrastructure.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- NSW Drivers Licence Class IC (Motor Car)
SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Permanent position, 70 hours per fortnight
- This position is a Grade 4, with a commencing salary range of $75,390 p.a. with progression to $83,213 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $88,308 p.a.
