About the Role

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join our Community Services teaching team. This an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and development of future community services professionals. In this role, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment across Certificate IV in Community Services and Diploma of Community Services both face-to-face and online cohorts. You will play a key role in supporting and guiding students to develop the knowledge and practical skills required for a successful career in the sector.

Your role will involve providing ongoing support and guidance to the students their journey of completing a qualification, helping the students develop the skills and knowledge essential for a successful career in the Community Services sector. As a teacher, your primary responsibilities will include delivering high quality training and assessment, developing engaging and relevant learning resources, and managing administrative tasks related to course delivery, including marking of assessments.

At TAFE Gippsland the role of the Teacher is to

Share knowledge and experience in your specialist area;

Manage the learning process to enable students to achieve their best;

Develop and deliver relevant and industry current course material;

Ensure that their own professional teaching and vocational competence and currency is kept up to date along with licensing requirements.

What you’ll need

Minimum requirement is Certificate IV Training & Assessment TAE40116 or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAEASS502 and TAELLN411; (highly desirable)

Minimum Diploma of Community Services or equivalent and/or higher relevant qualifications

Minimum 5 years industry experience.
