THE OPPORTUNITY
Salary: $104,883 - $114,252 per annum pro rata + 11.5 % super + annual leave loading (depending on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.
Location: Across all major Holmesglen campuses.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Ongoing contract of employment, with a 6-month qualifying period.
Holmesglen is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safer Community Program Manager to lead and support the wellbeing of our student community.
This key role coordinates the work of the Student Wellbeing team, providing expert guidance and risk assessment to manage situations involving concerning, unsafe, or challenging behaviours. Acting as a central point of contact for advice and reporting, the role ensures timely, consistent responses that align with Institute policies and best practices. You will drive the strategic development and implementation of the Safer Community model, promoting a safe and respectful environment through prevention programs and staff training. This position also supports staff in navigating complex student issues within their professional boundaries and leads collaborative initiatives that enhance safety and wellbeing.

ABOUT YOU
- Relevant degree with substantial experience, and registration or eligibility for registration with a recognised professional association (e.g., AHPRA, AASW, APS, ACA).
- Extensive experience in case management, crisis response, and risk assessment, with sound knowledge of Child Safety and OH&S frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to assess complex situations accurately and respond with empathy and sound judgement.
- Proven experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in sensitive and complex matters, with a commitment to ethical practice.
- Strong record of cross-functional collaboration and effective implementation of wellbeing and safety initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of detailed case notes, reports, and briefings for senior stakeholders.
