About the role

As a Project Site Engineer at Solid Foundation Concreting Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of complex construction projects within the Melbourne metropolitan area. This full-time position will see you work closely with the project management team to ensure all on-site activities are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

What you'll be doing:

Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities, including project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation

Assist in the final design process, including reviewing drawings, raising queries, and liaising with consultants and other disciplines

Evaluate changes and ensure alignment between design and construction methodology

Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions as needed

Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety protocols

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to provide regular progress updates and address any concerns

Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and technical specifications as required

Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and procedures

Manage post-tensioning and retention system design requests, reviews, and follow-ups with engineers

Participate in sales handovers for awarded projects to ensure smooth transition to delivery phase

Site & Project Delivery:

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction standards

Identify and report any discrepancies or clashes between site conditions and design documentation

Work closely with site supervisors to rectify issues and maintain quality control throughout the construction process

Review construction drawings and ensure compliance with specifications and standards

Track project progress and support productivity reporting

Monitor site safety and environmental requirements

Conduct and document site visits, RFIs, and scope clarification as required

Operational Support & Business Analytics:

Provide backend assistance to operations teams, including technical input and scope clarification

Update reinforcement allowances, tracking estimates versus actual quantities from schedules and site

Maintain job source tracking to support company business analytics and reporting

What we're looking for:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

1–3 years of experience in a similar role within concrete or structural contracting

Familiarity with post-tensioning, shotcrete, formwork, and basement retention systems

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills

Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities

Proficient in reading technical drawings and using software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Smarsheet

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering projects on time and within budget

Ability to work across multiple sites and manage competing priorities

White Card and valid driver’s licence
