The Organisation
Our client is a national services business within the construction sector. This unique Contract Part-Time Finance Manager position is an opportunity to join a well-established organisation, lead an already high performing team and gain some excellent exposure across a stable industry. This position will be working for our client directly on a 12 Month Fixed-term contract, with a possible extension. This role will be required to commence by Mid-June 2025.

The Role
The Finance Manager is responsible for the preparation of the consolidated financial position of the group, together with oversight of transactional requirements including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, weekly and monthly reporting and consolidation. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

• Business partner with a range of stakeholders, providing financial insights and commercial advice
• ATO Reconciliation
• Preparation of Month end reporting across two states.
• Responsible for preparation and reconciliation across the group
• Review of Quarterly BAS submissions prepared by outsourced provider
• Review of month end balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
• Main point of contact for 2024/ 2025 Audit.
• FX Reviews.
• Payroll & Insurance reviews.
• Assisting where required to complete financial audits, tax returns and any other audit in a timely manner

Your Experience

• CPA or CA qualified
• Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general commercial finance and budgeting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience within a CA accounting practice is highly desired.
• Good leadership skills. This role will involve managing and mentoring a small team. Previous management experience is essential.
• Flexibility, ability and initiative to work within a continuous improvement environment
