ELPRO Technologies is an innovative Australian manufacturing company, based in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, dealing in Industrial Wireless Equipment and Applications.

The Role

We are looking to appoint an experienced Inventory & Purchasing Controller to provide essential inventory management and purchasing duties. This will be a varied role in which you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the business from our Production Manager.

You will be primarily responsible for controlling inventory levels and all purchasing requirements, as well as demand forecasting to our international manufacturing plants, to ensure smooth and on time delivery of our products into our stock.

These core duties will involve analysis of non-moving parts and utilising supplier contacts to sell-off excess inventory; problem solving critical supply issues and shortages for our local production floor as well as sub-contractors; purchasing of all supplies, inventory and services as required.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintenance of inventory and supplier records in our ERP/MRP system (Accentis) as well as daily goods receiving, supplier invoicing approval and solving associated discrepancies. We will also provide training in our Customer Administration and Dispatch roles to provide essential back-up for your fellow team members.

The ideal candidate would:

Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar or complementary role – experience related to electronic components as well as finished goods manufacture planning would be widely regarded.

Held a similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Show confidence learning new systems and internal procedures.

Be an excellent team player and be able to work effectively under pressure.

Display excellent written communication skills, be well organized, efficient, and effective.

Have experience with ERP/MRP systems
