We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Lead, Collections and Client Engagement to join Fines Enforcement Recovery Unit at The Department of Treasury & Finance on an ongoing basis.
Remuneration: MAS3 ($127,859 p.a.).
About the opportunity:
As the Senior Lead, Collections and Client Engagement you will be responsible for our Outbound & Digital customer-facing operations in the Fines Unit.
This role works closely with the Chief Recovery Officer (CRO) by maximising collections across all debt portfolios and strategically introducing modernised services via digital, data and analytical application to our client treatment journeys.
About you
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Fines & Enforcement business to ensure efficient and effective debt recovery processes. This role involves developing strategies to improve collections rates, supervising staff, strategic service partners and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You play a critical role in maintaining positive relationships with clients while maximising recovery of outstanding debts.
To be successful you will have:
Demonstrated strategic leadership in client-facing or call centre environments, with the energy to inspire and motivate teams.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues, develop solutions, and make timely, client-focused decisions.
Proven ability to define, implement, and communicate performance metrics across teams, partners, and leadership.
Experience developing tailored collections strategies that support fair treatment of financially vulnerable clients, aligned with policy and regulation.
Contemporary leadership in digital and omni-channel collections, driving innovation and service excellence.
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, working closely with internal leaders and external partners to represent FERU and foster strong relationships.
A collaborative team player who provides clarity, direction, and motivation in dynamic environments.
