As the Manager Planning and Engagement, you will:

Lead a high-performing team to deliver strategic planning, communications, and engagement that support regional priorities and outcomes.

Develop and maintain the Regional Landscape Plan, Annual Business Plans, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks to guide effective landscape management.

Build strong partnerships with Kaurna, Peramangk, and Ngarrindjeri Nations to embed cultural perspectives in planning and decision-making.

Oversee integrated water resource planning, including amendments to Water Allocation Plans in collaboration with regional and state partners.

Provide strategic advice to the Board and committees on planning, MERI, engagement, communications, and water management risks and opportunities.

Represent the region in the Statewide Planning and Engagement Network, supporting cross-regional collaboration and alignment.

About you:-

You bring extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.

You're a strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead planning, policy, and reporting initiatives across complex and dynamic environments.

You excel in engaging communities, building partnerships, and driving collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including First Nations communities.

You have strong knowledge of natural resource management, community engagement, and MERI frameworks.

You are a confident communicator with highly developed skills in negotiation, facilitation, and translating complex information for broad audiences.

You understand the workings of Boards and government, including strategic drivers, governance, and legislative frameworks such as the Landscape SA Act 2019.

You are solutions-focused, adaptive, and driven by a commitment to making a positive environmental and community impact.

If you're ready to make a real impact in cultural and environmental stewardship, we'd love to hear from you!
