About the Role
The primary role of a TAFE SA Lecturer is to provide a quality educational service of training, assessment, and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives.
TAFE SA is seeking an experienced professional to join our Lecturing team. The ideal incumbent will be passionate about education and have more than two years of experience in industry, Cyber Security, Networking, Applications or Support.
The Successful candidate will hold:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116 or TAE40122
- Minimum Certificate IV in Information Technology or equivalent skills area qualification.

Essential Selection Criteria
- Demonstrate your current level of skills, knowledge, and broad experience in your specific trade/professional area.
- Knowledge of Cyber related frameworks (ISO 27001 & 27002, NIST)
- Knowledge of various networking devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls), Cloud services (AWS, Azure), Penetration Testing, NGFW.
- Identify your significant achievements in managing productive working relationships with work group members and stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes.
- Demonstrate your ability to establish effective working relationships with all client age groups especially young people.
- Demonstrate your significant “track record’ in evaluating operational processes and procedures, identifying improvements, and making recommendations.
- Demonstrate your knowledge and experience in teaching/training/facilitation /mentoring.
- Applying Work Health and Safety (WH&S) and Return to Work legislative requirements in business activities for which the position is responsible, whilst ensuring compliance to Agency WH&S policies, procedures and processes including the identification, assessment and control of risks and evaluation of mitigation strategies to minimize the likelihood of injury and/or disease.
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal Culture and Community.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
- Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential.
- Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
- May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA.
- Incumbent will be required to participate in the Department’s performance Development Program.
