The Human Connection is recruiting for our Not-for-Profit Community Organisation in Mandurah. Our client is a medium-sized not-for-profit organisation focusing strongly on Quality Service to the Community.

About the role

Join our client as a Disability Support Worker on a contract basis in Mandurah & Peel WA. In this rewarding role, you will provide tailored care and support to individuals living with disabilities, empowering them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Casual and Contract roles available.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Accompanying clients to medical appointments, social engagements, and community events

Supporting clients to develop and work towards their individual goals and aspirations

Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met with empathy and respect

Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the development of care plans

Collaborating with a team of support workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals

Encouraging and supporting clients to engage and participate within the wider community

What we're looking for

Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field or a willingness to undertake

Experience providing direct support to individuals living with disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in people's lives

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation

A current First Aid certificate and NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain both

Strong record-keeping skills
