Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, your duties involve:

• Logging/scanning creditor invoices and subcontractor claims daily.
  
• Following up on outstanding items to ensure claims are responded to within the right time frame
  
• Running payment reviews (EFT, Cheque, BPay) and reconciling for weekly payment run.
  
• Preparing Accounts Payable ledger reconciliations for assigned accounts
  
• Analysing and resolving accounting and financial discrepancies and irregularities
  
• Assisting with year-end financial audit, providing relevant documentation and explanation as required.
  
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor of Accounting or related field such as commerce or business
  
• 3-5 years experience in a similar stand-alone Accounts Payable position
  
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of analytic skills
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  
• Experience processing complex subcontractor payments
  
• Understanding of SOPA requirements
