NRW Holdings are now seeking a highly motivated Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT Support team in the Belmont Head Office. You will be the first point of contact for IT support and your responsibilities will include resolving technology issues remotely via telephone and email, recording interactions within the ITSM toolset as well as escalating any issues for resolution to second level teams as required.
We are looking for someone with a desire to achieve and accomplish the tasks given to them in an efficient and effective manner. Strong customer service skills are paramount in this role as you are supporting our internal clients.
This is a full time permanent position with a salary ranging from $77,000 to $82,000 + superannuation.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will be, however not limited to:
- Liaising with employees regarding queries and troubleshooting IT issues within the business
- Provide system and infrastructure support to functional areas
- Train and support users on installed software
- Assist in recommendations for software and infrastructure requirements
- Write and maintain user documentation
- Install software package, data conversion and package maintenance
- Installing, configuring and maintaining PC’s networking equipment and network operating systems
- Monitoring of systems and networks to ensure optimum performance
- Establishing and controlling security levels and systems access
- Equipment set up for employees
- Maintaining asset management register and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) tools
- Participate in the service desk on call roster
- Undertake recovery action in the event of systems failure
Preferred skills and qualifications for this position are:
- High level of customer service experience
- Previous experience in a similar position within the resource sector is highly desirable
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- In depth understanding of computers, operations systems, networking and applications
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
